Yvonne McGuffee

Funeral services for Yvonne Coleman McGuffee, age 86 of Harrisonburg will be held 10:00 AM  Friday November 14, 2025 from the sanctuary of New Ouachita Baptist Church with  Bro. Craig McCain officiating. Interment will follow in the McGuffee Section of Rosefield Cemetery at Rosefield. Services have been entrusted to Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. The McGuffee Family will receive visitors on Thursday November 13, 2025 at the church from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Yvonne Coleman McGuffee  went to Heaven on November 11, 2025. Yvonne was born in Jonesville, LA on September 24, 1939. She was a graduate of Block High School, where she was a cheerleader.

Yvonne married Mickey McGuffee on December 26, 1958, almost sixty six years ago.  Their marriage was an inspiration to everyone. She was a source of unwavering love and guidance  with a strong faith in God, a  faith that led her children to Jesus.  She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family,  and was an excellent cook well known for her chicken and dumplings. She was a faithful member of New Ouachita Baptist Church and dearly loved her church family. Her love and kindness and gentle nature touched the lives of many and will live on through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Yvonne is survived by Husband: Michael " Mickey " McGuffee,; Daughter: Marianne Smith and her stepchildren:  Cody and Melissa and Grandson Cooper; Son: Mike and his wife Barbara; Grandson Lee and his wife Amanda and their children, Braden, Jake, and Bailey;  Grandson Heath and wife Cynthia and their children, Rhett and Landry; Grand daughter: Heather and husband Ryan Rawls and their children Bella, Jace and Ryleigh; Grandson Curt McGuffee and his children Fitz and Fair. Her sister: Sandra Emrick and Brother in law :  Merwyn McGuffee and his wife Mary Ann. Yvonne is preceded in death by: son-in-law Mark Smith, sister: Beverly McMillin,  parents: Huey and Pearl Coleman.

Pallbearers will be Lee McGuffee, Heath McGuffee, Curt McGuffee, Braden McGuffee, Jake McGuffee and Ryan Rawls.
