Services for Mrs. Willie Mae Butler Haddox, age 92 of Alexandria, will be 11 AM Monday, March 2, 2009 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Charles Lutrick officiating. Interment will follow at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery in Vixen. Visitation will be Sunday evening, March 1, 2009 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. Mrs. Haddox was born on October 4, 1916 in Columbia to the union of Thomas Armstrong and Katie Lemora Hargrove Butler and passed from this life on February 24, 2009 at the Oaks Care Nursing Home in Pineville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Palestine Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; David Harold Haddox, two brothers; Howard Butler and Ivy Butler and her sister; Bessie Mae Watts. Survivors include her daughter; Linda June Haddox Burmester and her husband, George of Houston, TX, her son; Harold Glenn Haddox and his wife, Floy of Tyler, TX, sister; Ethel Faulks of Vernon, FL, brother; Cecil Butler of Eatonton, GA granddaughter; Vicki Lynn Campo Williams and her husband, Sean of Vancouver, WA, her grandson; Thomas Duane Campo of Alexandria, and two great grandchildren; Christopher Sean Williams and Matthew Ryan Williams both of Vancouver, WA. Pallbearers will be Rick Richmond, David Ainsworth, Gary Watts, Darryl Johnson, Jim Steele and Steve DeLancy. She was very loving, kind and giving to her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
