Funeral services for Wendy Elaine Atkins Ainsworth, age 48 of Clarks, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 2, 2026, from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Arthur Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at the Old Union Cemetery in Grayson. The Ainsworth family will receive friends on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Wendy was born on August 19, 1977, at Alexandria, LA, to the union of her parents, James O. Atkins and Elaine Marie Waters Atkins. She passed from this life on July 28, 2026, at her residence in Clarks following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her grandson, Collin Sthram; and her brother, John Atkins.

Wendy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She always put others needs in front of her own as most mothers do. She was loved and will be sorely missed. She loved to garden and fish before her health started to decline.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Nathan Ainsworth; Six sons: Rhett Sthram (Brianna), Dustin Ainsworth (Katie), Nathan Culp (Ariel Smith), Colby Ainsworth, Bradley Culp Jr.(Lilly Box) and Jlynn Culp; two brothers, Jim Hudson and Clint Atkins; four grandchildren: Thomas Sthram, Savannah Sthram, Naomi Ainsworth and Kyson Culp; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chet Atkins, Shawn Johnson, Bradley Culp, Jr., Nathan Culp, John Trainer and Cole Bruce. Honorary pallbearers include Monty Atkins, Mike Atkins and Pate Ainsworth.
