Wanda Marie Humphries

Funeral services for Wanda Marie Brown Humphries will be held 12:00 PM, September 9, 2023, at Riser Funeral Home in Olla, LA, with Bro. Denver McBroom officiating. Visitation will be held September 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to time of service at 12:00. Marie was born January 15, 1949 in Columbia, LA, to the union of her parents, Jack Lee Brown and Nettie Jeanette James Brown and passed to her heavenly home September 6, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Marie enjoyed life. She treasured her family more than anything and spoiled her kids and grandkids. She cooked on command, kept snacks, played cards, sewed, and ran the roads listening to ZZ Top. She loved going to the casino, and shopping at Wal-Mart. Marie was fully dedicated to sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds, drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes, gossping and griping. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn Humphries; daughter, Cathy Faye Humphries Strickland and her sister, Sandra Brown.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Kevin Humphries (Lethey); daughters: Paula Bratton (James), Teresa Roberts (Brian), Beverly Humphries; brothers: Jackie Brown (Debbie), Ed Brown, Terry Brown (Tammy); sisters: Carole McMullen, Joyce Russell (Reggie); grandchildren: Kaity Bratton, Alexa Mcllwain (Tyler), Emily Peoples (Aaron), Jamie Lee (Justin), Coty Roberts, Kyle Roberts, Trey Wray; great-grandchildren, Olivia Mcllwain, Jasmine Peoples, Macy Roberts, Ashlynn Roberts, Avory Roberts, Parker Roberts, Leevi Roberts, Reagen Lee, Kathan Wray, McKenna Roberts, and Rease Roberts, as well as a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers include Dwayne Humphries, Lance Humphries, Jordan Humphries, Ashton Humphries, Clint Talley, and Ray Bratton. Honorary pallbearer is Ryland Street.
