Funeral Services for Virginia Kay Lindsey will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 29, 2026, at The Urania Pentecostal Church with Bro. ER Johnson officiating and Bro. Mike Russell assisting with interment following at Urania Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, August 28, 2026 at The Urania Pentecostal Church from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Virginia Kay Lindsey 69, was born June 8, 1957 in Columbia, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Tressie Crain and Louie Lindsey and she passed from this life to her heavenly home, August 26, 2026 peacefully at her residence in Urania, Louisiana surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Curtis Lindsey; brothers, Jimmy Lindsey and Donald Lindsey; sisters, Fay Goodwin and Sue Lindsey; two brother-in-laws, Robert King and David Goodwin. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Woodruff; grandchildren, Zackary Lindsey and Makayla Lindsey; Siblings, Renee King and Coy Lindsey (Billy) and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kay was a devoted wife, loving mother, wonderful grandmother, and one of the sweetest Christians. She loved going to church and serving the Lord. She held a special place in her heart for Bro. Clay Hutto and Candace Hutto as she cherished their loyal friendship. Kay loved the holidays, cooking and spending time with her family. She is well known for her famous Honeybun Cake, and will always be remembered for it. Kay was a wonderful friend to everyone she knew, and she loved her sons with everything she had left in her. She will be missed by her loved ones. Kay lived a beautiful life and we are sad but grateful knowing she is with Jesus and rejoicing in heaven with all of her loved ones that passed before her.
Pallbearers will include Zackary Lindsey, Jimmy Lindsey, Todd Frizzell Jr, Jason Carraway, Ethan Duncan, Joey Carraway.
Honorary Pallbearer is Chris Lindsey.
