On April 15, 2021 we received the call that no one wants to receive. Tyler Lane Ogden, Ty to his family and Og or Big Og to his friends, had passed away in West Texas. Ty was born on February 11, 1995, and he touched many lives in his short 26 years. He never met a stranger and when he connected with you, you became a forever friend. He loved his wife, Brooke, and his precious little miracle, Kinley Marie, with all his being.
Ty played hard and worked hard. He loved the outdoors. Whether it was hours spent looking for that illusive buck, casting a line to catch the big bass, calling in woodies and greenheads or toms and hens, or riding in the mud with his best buds, Ty never did anything halfway. When he wasn’t spending time with his family or friends, he was turning wrenches, drilling pipe or digging deep ditches, to support his family.
Tyler is survived by his wife and daughter; his parents, John and Ramona Ogden; his brother, Dustin Ogden; his “little” brother, Eli Downer; his 2nd parents, Steve and Summer Coodey; his papaw, Elbert Sanson; his mammaw, Alice Ogden, his 2nd grandparents, Sally and Petey Smith; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his Nanna, Beverly Sanson and his papaw, Richard Ogden.
A time of visitation will be held Thursday, April 22, 2021 beginning at 5 pm and funeral services will be Friday, April 23, 2021 at 2 pm, both at Mt Vernon Baptist Church of West Monroe. Interment will be at Hebert Cemetery. His grandfather Elbert Sanson will be officiating.
Honoring Tyler as pallbearers will be Thorton Patterson, Kelton Benton, Jeremy Guinn, Dillon Tidwell, Cody Cottrell, Matt Deville, Caden Beckley and Trevor Varnell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eli Downer, Cody Kelly, Ethan Meredith, his NorAm Crew, his H&P Crew and his pipeline family
