Tonya Elaine Dortch

Tonya Elaine Dortch was born on March 29, 1974 in Columbia, LA and she passed from this life on August 14, 2024 at her home in Columbia surrounded by her loved ones and close friends. Her services will be held at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, August 17, 2024 and will be officiated by Bro. Jack McKeithen, obituary read by Bro. Richard Smith, and the eulogy read by Tammy Kirby. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Riser Funeral Home.

Tonya was preceded in death by her son baby C.J. at the age of 5 weeks; her maternal grandparents, Doyle and Lillie Mae Peterson; paternal grandparents, Jack Dean and Etta Mae Dortch; her special aunt, Barbara West; and her uncle, Aubrey Peterson. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jessica Pearson (Kenny Ray); parents, Jack and Mona Dortch; her brother, Barry Dortch (Lindsay); granddaughters: Jackie Dortch and JaCee Dortch; uncle, Raymond Dortch (Donna); aunts: Edith Neely (Harold) and Lenora Peterson; several cousins, as well as her special friends, Mama Pam Masters (Terry), Ms. Ann Garsee, and uncle, Cliff Peterson.

The family would like to give thanks to Tammy Kirby, Sharon Kay Terry, Britany Shafer, and Penny Smith for their love, prayers, and support. Also a special thanks to Hospice Compassus for their care and comfort in our time of need.

Pallbearers will include Will Shafer, Logan Dortch, Bobby Lee West, Jeff Peterson, Keith Wyatt, and Freddy Mercer. Honorary pallbearers are Cliff Peterson and Koby Dortch.
