Thomas Ray Wilson

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Ray Wilson, age 75, of Clarks;  will be held 11:00AM Friday January 12, 2024, from the sanctuary of Selma Baptist Church  with Bro. Kent Hatfield officiating. Interment with full military honors will be at Urania Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be on Thursday January 11, 2024, at the church from 5:00  PM until 8:00 PM.

Thomas Ray Wilson was born on July 12, 1948, in Winnfield, LA, to the union of his parents, John Frank Wilson and Doris Larayn Luther Allen, and he passed from this life on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the Woods Haven Nursing Center in Pollock. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty years, Mary Wilson; his beloved parents; his sister, Ethel Mae Wilson Davis and his brother, Ricky Wayne Wilson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Larry Connon of Winnfield; his son, Randy Phillips of Georgetown; his daughter, Belinda Woodruff (Chuck) of Urania; his son, Virgil Mize (Nicki) of Virginia; his son, Michale Wilson (Kristi) of Natchitoches; daughters: Mary Bishop, Urania, Melanie Ganey of Urania, Shasta Wells (Will) of Alexandria; and a host of nieces and nephews. He had seventy grandbabies with a new one on the way. He loved fishing, hunting  spending time with his wife and his grandkids; and please let's not forget his fourteen cats. He also served two tours in Vietnam in the United States Army and the Army National Guard.

Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons: Charles Woodruff III, Dennis Woodruff, Gabriel Lee, Richard Lofton, Jr., Joshua Phillips and Dedrick Street.

Honorary pallbearers include Ian Woodruff, Joshua Phillips, Scotty Phillips and Matthew Clark.
