Matt had many friends but was always grateful to the ones that never left his side. He loved his family and friends and wasn't afraid to say it.
Matt was a leader. He had a sense of humor and sarcasm that some could not understand but those that did loved him. Matt loved hunting, fishing, drag racing, mud riding, boxing and just being with family and friends. There is so much that could be said about Matt Russell. Several had said that a legend is gone. That is an understatement. I will end by saying this, Matt you were our protector, our adviser, our best friend. Matt together our love stood so much. Thirty five years ago we became Matt and Jennifer. We are still Matt and Jennifer. I love you.
Our family would like to give our most heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kevin Carlisle, Randie Adcox, Wound Care Specialty and most of the staff at Oschner's LSU , Monroe.
