Teresa Renae Hill Smith was born January 11, 1971, in Oak Grove, Louisiana, to the union of her parents, Randall Hill and Geneva Barnes Hill. She passed from this life unexpectedly on August 7, 2026, at her residence.

Teresa was a loving, selfless woman whose greatest joy was her family. Teresa and her husband shared a love that was truly special. She loved being his wife and treasured the life they built together. She loved cooking for him, spending time with him, and simply being by his side. Their love was woven into the everyday moments they shared and he was such an important part of her heart. She loved him deeply and their bond was one that will never be forgotten. She loved her children and every one of her grandchildren with her whole heart. Teresa loved being a grandma, an Atmaw, and a TT. She loved her three grandmother names. She loved visiting Naelyn, playing with her and making the most of every moment together. She loved Kylee and Gabriel dearly and treasured the time she spent with all of her grandchildren. She loved her Millie and Owen. Millie shared such a special bond with her Atmaw. She loved her deeply and cherished every moment they spent together. Owen adored his Atmaw too and his face would light up whenever she walked through the door. Teresa came to see her babies every day because being a part of their lives brought her so much happiness. Teresa’s children were her whole world. She shared a close bond with her daughter, Britnie. They weren’t just mother and daughter, they were best friends. They spent their days together, shared countless memories, and were always by each other’s side. Teresa loved her sons, Kyle and Landon, with all of her heart. She was so proud of the men they had become and cherished the relationship she had with each of them. No matter how old her children became, Teresa would always be their mom, the one who loved them fiercely, worried about them, and wanted nothing more than to see them happy. Her three children were her world, and she loved them more than words could ever express. She also loved her "E Man" (Eli, Britnie's husband) and making sure he was always stocked up on his Dr. Peppers. Teresa showed her love by simply being there. She loved her sisters, Lisa and Becky, and always enjoyed catching up with them. She adored her brother, Randall. She was deeply loved, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled. Her love will live on through her family and the memories they will carry with them forever. She will be missed more than words can say. Some of the fun things we will always carry with us are the love she had for her candles from Bath and Body Works, her drinking cotton candy Liquid IV's, having her nails polished, the perfume her husband bought her, and she couldn't go anywhere without her Yeti cup or Stanley cup filled with Dr. Pepper.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, her maternal grandparents, Harvey and Lois Barnes; paternal grandparents, Roy and Stella Hill; and her father-in-law, James Smith. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jamie Smith; two sons, Landon Harper, Kyle Harper; a daughter, Britnie Black (Eli); brother, Randall Hill (Erin); sisters, Lisa Hill and Rebecca Lizarraga (Cory); grandchildren: Naelyn Prewitt, Kylee Harper, Gabriel Harper, Amelia Black, and Owen Black; as well as a host of family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eli Black, Cory Lizarraga, Jeff Hatten, and John Brown Jr.
