Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia McGuffee Gathright age 75 of Reeds Spring, Mo and formerly of Columbia will be held 10AM Tuesday from the Columbia Chapel of Riser Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Crandall officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosefield Cemetery east of Grayson. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5 to 8PM at the funeral Home in Columbia. Sylvia Arlene McGuffee Gathright was born on May 26, 1934 at Columbia,La. to the union of her parents Shelley and Eathel Horn McGuffee. She left this life on the morning of May 29, 2009 at her residence following a sudden illness. She was preceded in death by her parents. Sylvia was a bookkeeper and a professional artist. She owned and operated Cypress, Etc, and Art and Woodcrafters Supply. Mrs. Gathright leaves behind her husband Herbert Gathright. Four children: Barry Gathright, Kevin Gathright, Darla Gathright-Denny, and Daina Gathright-Tate. Three Siblings: Gloria Fuqua, Doyce McGuffee, and Merrell McGuffee. Six grandchildren: Johnathan Denny, Tori Denny, Amber Gathright, Justin Gathright, Westley Gathright, and Jessica Tate. Casket bearers include:Tim McGuffee,Leland McGuffee, John Denny, Tony McGuffee, Todd McGuffee, Mark McKee,Justin Gathright, and Damon Hughes.
