Shirley Lee Porter

Funeral Services for Shirley Lee Faulks Porter, age 86, will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Palestine Baptist Church in Vixen, LA,  with internment at the Palestine Cemetery. under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.

Shirley was born October 10, 1935, in Vixen, LA, to the union of her parents, John Faulks and Ethel Butler Faulks, and she passed from this life April 23, 2022, in Hammond LA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gary Porter.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Challis Sanders (Sam) of Amite, LA; her sister, Elaine Knight; grandchildren: John Robert Owens (Brianna) and David Lee Sanders (Mariah); great-grandchildren: Gavin Ryder Owens, Bronson Luke Owens, and Masen Lee Sanders; and niece, Tammy Knight Maxwell.
