Sharon Rose Burnum

Sharon Rose Meredith Burnum passed away on May 7, 2022, in West Monroe, Louisiana at the age of 71. She was born November 22, 1950, in Monroe, Louisiana and was one of seven children born to her parents, Perlie James Meredith and Ona Lea Cain Meredith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin Burnum; and siblings: Ronnie Meredith, Perlie Catherine Meredith, James Meredith, and Diane Rodriquez. 

Sharon enjoyed going to garage sales and flea markets to look for good deals and hidden treasures. She loved to travel. She wasn't picky about where she went, she just loved to go! She loved surprise visits to the homes of her children and grandchildren. They loved the visits too. She loved her familly dearly, especially her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When asked how much she loved them her answer was always the same, "A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!"

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Tommie Cathey; daughters, Tanya Gardner (Jeffery) and Reanna Johnson (Neal); brother, Bobby Meredith; sister, Dorothy Parker; grandchildren: Jessica Meche (Lucky), Luke Carpenter (Amber), Taylor Cathey (Haley Hensarling), Tori Perry (C.J.), Junior Johnson, Weston Johnson, and Aliena Johnson; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held for Sharon at a later date.

"All the pain and grief is over, 

Every restless tossing passed;

I am now at peace forever, 

Safely home in heaven at last."
