Roger Dale Adams Sr

Roger Dale "Pete" Adams, Sr. was the last and youngest of 13 children brought into this world by his parents, Thomas Franklin Adams and Mary Ila Elizabeth Boles Adams. He was born in Sikes, LA, on August 30, 1943, and passed at his home in Olla, LA, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He married the love of his life, Norma Dell Adams in 1971. Together they had two children Thomas Lynn Adams and Roger Dale "Pete" Adams Jr. Pete was well known for his work ethic, his passion for logging, fishing, and gardening but mostly for the love he had for his wife.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Dell Adams; his parents; his son, Thomas Lynn Adams; his siblings: Christine Adams Mayes, Fannie Adams McCarty, Audie Adams Mayes, Carolyn Adams Sanders, Katie Adams Jones, Claire Adams Johnson, Allie Vee Adams Thompson, John Adams, Marshall Adams, Ferrel Adams, George Adams, and Benny Ray Adams.

He is survived by his son, Roger Dale "Petie" Adams Jr., with his wife, Joyce Janiece George Adams. He is also survived by his granddaughters: Kristina Marie George, Tiffany Brook Adams, and Brittany Nicole Adams Stephens (spouse Conner Daven Stephens), three beloved great-grandchildren: Carson, Kason, and Alina, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pete was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family welcomes all who would like to show their respect and remember him to join them at Pinehill Baptist Church, Olla, LA, for visitation on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will start at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the church and conclude at Olla Cemetery with burial under the direction of Riser Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Conner Stephens, Colby Dean, James Bratton, Aaron Peoples, Bennie Bratton and Casey Boyte. Honorary pallbearers are James Thompson, Speedy Poole, and Richard Stewart.
