Robert Charles Phillips was born on November 30, 1947 at Jackson, Mississippi to the union of his parents, Cameron William Phillips and Dalton Jean Miller. He passed from this life on September 11, 2026 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following an extended illness.

Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents and by his beloved wife Shirley Lynn Phillips.  Robert had lived a full  life and his accomplishments were many. He loved fishing in his spare time, loved football, especially the New Orleans Saints and the Denver Bronco's. He was a great Roller Skater and used to travel all over the United States with his family competing . He was also a great dancer and swimmer. He had also worn many hats in his life  and just one of those was that of Firefighter which he exceled in. His work ethic was unmatched always. He loved life and his family and was very happy. To all who knew and loved him , he will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his life and memory are two sons, Gregory Michael Phillips (Deana) and Daniel Curtis Phillips (Wendi); his sister, Mary Martin and two brothers, Cameron William "Buddy" Phillips JR and John Stephen Phillips; his grandchildren, Zakary Michael Phillips, Matthew John Moore and Taylar Moore; and two great-grandchildren, Stella Moore and Pislee Moore.

There are no plans at this time for a public memorial service.
