William was born in Oak Grove, LA on February 4, 1948 and left this world on January 17, 2022, in Long View, TX. No one tried harder than William but his genetic thyroid problem interfered in life. He held many jobs around local grocery stores. After he moved to Grayson he made many many friends locally. One of his greatest accomplishments was participating in and retiring from the National Guard. William had a car accident in 2014 and the decision was made to live with family in Longview. He again was immediately accepted as himself by church and friends. He was so Biblically smart and loved to pronounce difficult names.
Preceded in death by parents, Robert Lee and Lillian Ruth McKeithen May, and his nephew, David Owen Price, by two days, William is survived by his sister, Ruth M. Price and brother-in-law, Sidney O. Price; nephew, Robert Malone Price and niece, Jessica Parks Price; nephew, Jesse Malone Price and niece, Sydney Autumn Price. There is also a host of cousins. William was also loved and called "Pops" by the family of Jean Nations who loved him unconditionally.
William had undergone brain surgery in October of 2021 and had regained the ability to walk. He was so happy about that. He was excited to be able to do fun things again. He will be sorely missed by all, especially for his big grin and sparkly blue eyes.
