Richard Davis "Dick" Meredith, 72, of Columbia, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on August 27, 2026.

Born March 7, 1954, in Columbia, Louisiana , he was the son of the late Robert Frederick Meredith, JR and JanEtte McKeithen Meredith.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Bobby Meredith.

He is survived by his loving spouse, Linda; his children, Katie Robinson (Jack), John Meredith (Melissa), Lauren George (Kade), Lenzy Phillips (Colton), and Dalton Meredith; his grandchildren, Jacklyn Emmons (Ethan), Jacob Robinson (Alex), Jenna Young (Blake), Joshua Robinson, Davis Meredith, Allison Carroll, Nate Cook, Cora Cook, Henry Cook, John Ross Cook, Luna George, Bowen Phillips, and Boston Phillips; and five great-grandchildren, Casen, Jack, Lee Daniel, Charley and Kat.

Also survived by his brothers Bob Meredith (Belinda), Mark Meredith (Mel), and Scott Meredith (Jane).

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Dick will be deeply missed  by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday August 30, 2026 from the sanctuary of Columbia Methodist Church with Bro. Billy Lane McClanahan officiating. His daughter Katie Meredith Robinson will deliver the eulogy, Interment will follow in the Columbia Hill Cemetery. The Meredith Family will receive visitors on Saturday August 29, 2026 at Riser & Son Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Robinson, Joshua Robinson, Mark Meredith, JR, Nate Cook, Richard C. Meredith, and Michael Meredith.

Honorary pallbearers include Jim Parker, John Calloway, Mack Nerlson and Ronnie Darden.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Kelly Baptist Church, Kelly, Louisiana.
