Rev. J.D. Enterkin

Funeral services for Rev. Jewel David "JD" Enterkin, age 75 of Olla, will be 10AM Saturday, August 22, 2009 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Bro. Jack McKeithen and Bro. Randy Douglas officiating. Interment will follow in Olla Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening at funeral home from 5PM to 9PM. Rev. Enterkin was born in Summerville on September 13, 1933 the union of Jewel and Bessie Poole Enterkin and went to be with his Lord on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at LaSalle General Hospital in Jena. Bro. Enterkin served as pastor to may local Baptist churches including: Springhill, Ebenezer, Cross Roads, Welcome Home, Bellview, Rosefield, Zenoria and Fellowship. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 50 years; Frances Nugent Enterkin of Olla, two daughters: Lori F. Douglas and husband, Randy and Debi Enterkin Bradford all of Olla, grandson; Michael Nichalos Walton, step-grandson; Michael Kade Bradford and special granddaughter; KK Baker.
