Ray E. Parham

Funeral services for Ray E. Parham, age 84, of Olla will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 26, 2024 from the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Olla with Bro. Dennis Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Urania Cemetery at Urania and will be under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Olla. Visitation will be on Friday April 26, 2024 from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church.

Ray Edward Parham, JR was born at Urania, Louisiana on December 20, 1939 to the union of his parents, the late Winifred Boyd Parham and Ray Edward Parham, SR. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Elizabeth Parham. Ray was employed by Louisiana Pacific Corporation and the LaSalle Parish Sheriff's Department. Ray loved his family, his dog "Rascal" and the lord. He enjoyed building knives, cat fishing, reading books, and collegiate sports. Ray always told the best stories and had a memory like no other. He could tell you every sport stats of his kids and grandkids from the time they started playing until they stopped. Memories that was made will be treasured and he will be tremendously missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife: Janice Parham, and his children: Felicia Bradford, Cheryl Rankin (John David) , Craig Parham (Tiffany), Corey Parham (Ronda)10 Grandchildren: Chet Atkins (Miranda), Austin Bradford (Ashtin), Emily Rankin (Kimi), John Garrett Rankin, Lucas Parham (Anna), Keeley Johno (Dawson),Noah Parham, Mattie Parham Alan Parham (Mallorie), Alaina Parham and 13 great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chet Atkins, Austin Bradford, Lucas Parham, Alan Parham, John Garrett Rankin and Noah Parham.

Honorary pallbearers include Baron Atkins, Carson Atkins, Keegan Compton, Bexten Parham, Bowen Johno and Tom Bradford.
