Phyllis Ann Blackwell

Funeral services for Phyllis Ann Blackwell will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, November 7, 2022, at Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia, LA with Bro. Jeff Masters officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery. The visitation will be held Monday morning from 9:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM.

Phyllis Ann Blackwell was born May 22, 1958, to the union of her parents John Blackwell Jr. and Mary Murphey Blackwell, and she passed from this life November 3, 2022, at Willis Knighten Hospital, in Shreveport. Phyllis was a kind hearted woman who loved staying home. She enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the birds. Phyllis loved her soap operas, riding motorcycles, and her family. Her favorite thing was the time spent with her kids and grandkids. Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother, Mary, and brother, Steve Blackwell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her father, John Blackwell Jr., her son, Josh Martinez; daughters: Nicole Martinez (Stacey Henry), Elizabeth Martinez; sisters: Barbie Shipp, Shirley Wall (Norwood); six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Lee, Dakota Lee, Joey Bellmore, Joe Rider, Stacey Henry, Benjy Lee, and T.J. Cook.
