Funeral services for Patty Blackman Rentz age 61 of Minden, LA and formerly of Caldwell Parish will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday December 9, 2025 from the Columbia Chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Murray Twyman and Rev, Alan Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. The Rentz Family will receive visitors on Monday at the funeral home in Columbia from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Patty was born on September 24, 1964 at Monroe, LA to the union of her parents, Elton Edward "Buck" Blackman and Doris Smith Blackman. Patty was preceded in death by her father "Buck" Blackman.

 Patty loved to cook and loved taking care of her dogs. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was one of her greatest joys. She also enjoyed working alongside Joe in the car business for many years. She enjoyed attending Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Patty was a very kind, loving person. She was always willing to help anyone in anyway she could.

Left to cherish her life and memories are her husband: Joe Rentz, her mother: Doris Blackman Russell and husband Julius Russell; her sister: Libby Pipes and husband Scott;  her sons: Justin Hall (John Ambrose), Jesse Hall (Hannah), Jody Hall (Crystal), Nick Rentz (Dania) and Daniel Rentz (Becca) and her daughter Megan Duplissey (Caleb); Her beloved grandchildren: Landon Coburn, Brooke Duplissey, Luke Duplissey, Everly Duplissey, Elijah Rentz, Rosaline Rentz, Oliver Rentz, Kenlee Rentz, Genevieve Rentz, Leo Rentz, Tyler Hall, Brooklyn Hall and Peyton Hall; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Harper Wilkins, Herschel Volentine, Charlie Franklin, Dustin Sinclair, Hunter Walker and Donnie Jones.
