Patricia Jarrell Harper

Funeral services for Patricia Jarrell Harper will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia, LA with Bro. Chris Gainous officiating and Bro. Jonathan Broussard assisting. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery, Clarks, LA. The family will have  visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Patricia Jarrell Harper was born November 11, 1944, in Jonesboro, LA, to the union of her parents, Morand Jarrell and Ruby Jarrell. She passed peacefully to her heavenly home on December 18, 2025, in Monroe, LA. Patricia was an LPN and she was an excellent nurse. She loved her work and enjoyed caring for her patients. She loved her family and they were very important to her. She loved to cook for them and later in life sew for them as well. She was a good Mamaw to her many grandchildren. They each held a special place in her heart. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Donald Harper; and her brothers, Billy Jarrell and Bobby Jarrell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Carroll "Wop" Harper (Rita), Sissy Gainous (Chris), and Jody Harper (Kimberley); her brother, Marlon Jarrell; grandchildren: Niki Rymer (Zack), Amy Sweet, Sherry Pittman (Jake), Joshua Southerd, Johnathon Gainous (Morgan), Jeremy Gainous (Candy), Justin Gainous (Taylor), and James Gainous (Tora); as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
