Nancy Spires

Nancy Gordy Spires, age 71, of Grayson, was born on August 10, 1945 in Pineville to the union of Otis and Ruth Gordy and she passed away from this life on December 25, 2016 at her residence in Grayson. Nancy loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much. She loved to play poker. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Rhonda Cavazos; her parents. She is survived by her husband: J.D. “Buddy” Spires of Grayson; son: John Spires and his wife Mary Ann of Clarks; daughter: Ruth Thomas and her husband Dan of Kelly; brother: Otis Gordy; grandchildren: Tesha Cavazos and Severan Girod, Manny Cavazos, Megan May, Karli Thomas, Austin Thomas, Clayton Spires, Mason Spires, and Logan Spires; great-grandchildren: Eva Girod, Lydia Girod, and Raven Spires. There will be a private memorial service at a later time.
