Myrtie Gryder Bond

Graveside services for Myrtie Gryder Bond of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Old Bethel Cemetery in Clarks, LA with Todd Burnaman officiating. Visitation will be held at the cemetery from 9:30 AM until the service starts at 10:00. Myrtie was born in West Monroe, Louisiana, on February 15, 1928 to the union of her parents, Samuel Gryder and Gladys Cook Gryder, and she passed from this life April 17, 2021 at West Monroe Guest House. Myrtie was married to Rev. Richard Hamilton Bond and was a devoted Baptist wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked at Haven Nursing Home for many years caring for others which she thoroughly enjoyed. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and cross stitching. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rev. Richard Bond; and her brother, Jim Gryder.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Scott Bond (Betty), Steve Bond, Stan Bond (Sammie), a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family would like to thank the staff at West Monroe Guest House and Ascend Hospice for the love and care that was shown to their loved one.
