Mary Geneva Lancon

Mary Geneva Lancon, age 86 of Grayson, LA, was born in Rayville, LA, to the union of her parents, Huey Franklin Goodwin and Lessie Ates Goodwin, and passed from this life December 17, 2021, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Elzie Weatherford and Sonny Lancon; her daughter, Linda Broom; her brothers: James Goodwin, Marshall Goodwin, Curtis Goodwin, and J.L. Goodwin.

Geneva was known as the life of the party. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, planting flowers, playing games on her Ipad, gambling, playing poker, hunting, and fishing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and feeding the birds and squirrels.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Evelyn Harris and Janice Spinelli (Chris); her sister, Patsy Black (Bobby); ten grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

At this time there are no services planned. The family has chosen cremation and may hold private services at a later date.
