Mary Francis Hankemeier

Celebration of Life and visitation for Mary Francis Hankemeier, age 83 of Olla will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 30, 2023 from the Olla chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with layman, Jim Pierce officiating. The family will receive visitors  beginning at 10:00 AM.

Mary Francis Hankemeier was born on January 21, 1940 at Winnfield, LA to the union of her parents, the late Otha Vernon Hale and Mary Johns ; she passed from this life on December 27, 2023 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Vernon Hale and her step-mother Lydia Hale. Mary was a wonderful wife and mom. She loved people and never met a stranger. She loved serving others . She was a CNA Nurse for numerous years working with hospice. She loved to fish and loved gardening. The Beach was one of her favorite places to visit. She was a very kind and forgiving individual  and loved Jesus. She had a strong and abiding faith in her Lord. She was also Bowling Captain  and bowling was a wonderful hobby for her.

left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her husband, Paul McKillip of Olla; her son, Robert Edward Hankemeier; two daughters, Mary Pierce (Jim) and Veronica Hankemeier; sister-in-law, Bobbie Hale of Jonesboro; two nieces, Lena Walker and Cristie Martindale; two grandchildren; Magen Bomar and Sierra Sanders; five great-grandchildren: Remy Bomar, Annabell Hankemeier, Zoey Hankemeier,  Isaiah Sanders and  Bradley Kensey.
