Martha Faye Ashley

Martha Faye Ashley lived her life with a tender-hearted grace that will always be remembered by those who love her. She was born in Gilbert, Louisiana on February 23, 1946 and was a lifelong resident of Aimwell, Louisiana.

She passed peacefully on the morning of Monday, March 9th under the care of her nurses whom she loved dearly at Haven Nursing Home in Columbia.

Martha married her husband, J.T. Ashley on July 19, 1961 and just last year celebrated their 64th anniversary.

A gentle and loving woman, Martha loved gardening, cooking, sewing, and watching her yorkies play.

She is remembered by her husband, J.T. Ashley and her siblings: Wendy Shelton, Mary Ann Sanders, Alan Cader, David Cader, and James Cader. She will be forever cherished by her children, Kaye Ashley and Anthony Ashley, her daughter-in-law Wendy Ashley, her grandchildren, Taylor Ashley and Whitney Phillips (Logan) and Martha’s three great-grandchildren, Landry Philips, Lottie Phillips and Lillian Phillips.

Visitation will be 10:00-2:00, Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Olla First Baptist Church with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00 PM. Bro. Dennis Baker will officiate. Private interment will be held at a later date at Siloam Cemetary in Catahoula Parish.
