Marilyn McDougald Cruse

Funeral services for Marilyn McDougald Cruse will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 16, 2022 from the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Olla, LA with Bro. John Norwood officiating and Randy Douglas delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Chickasaw Cemetery, Olla, LA under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. The family will have a visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 5 PM until 8 PM.

Marilyn McDougald was born in Smackover, AR on August 31, 1943, to the union of her parents, John Edward and Pauline Scott McDougald, and she passed from this life January 13, 2022, at her home in Olla. Marilyn was a caring person, who loved her family tremendously. She loved reading, playing the piano, baking sweets, and going out to eat. She will be greatly missed. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law, Grace Cruse.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Ronald Cruse; daughter, Lisa Smith; sons: Ronnie Cruse (Shelly) and John Cruse; grandchildren: Heather Strain, Jonathan Cruse, Ryan Cruse, Jewelly Skinner (Waddie), Payton Tingle, and Mistohn Cruse; one great-grandson, Aidan Whiddon; her brother, Charles McDougald (Carolyn); her sister, Sue Norwood (Mike); and her brother-in-law, Buck Cruse; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Chad Brown, Derek White, Payton Tingle, Steve Barbo, Jason Coleman, and Robert Wilemon. Honorary pallbearers are Bart Meredith, Waddie Skinner, Aidan Whiddon, Steve Etheridge, Jonathan Cruse, and Ryan Cruse.
