Margie Denise Fisher was born in Columbia, Louisiana, on September 27, 1959, to the union of her parents, Simmie Homer Fisher and Bessie Elizabeth Adams Fisher, and she passed from this life peacefully at her residence in Clarks on April 6, 2024. She was a loving mother who always provided for her family and Simmie said she was the "best grandma ever." Margie was the most loving and caring person you could've met. She adored her boys and loved her grandchildren with everything in her. She loved animals "especially dogs", and traveling with her friends, Sharon Hall and Preston Strange. Margie would be watching for one of them to pull up and she would grab that purse and hit the door. If the wheels were rolling she was happy. They would go to church when it was time and other days they just rode around sight seeing. She loved cooking and drinking her root beer. Margie graduated with a Masters Degree in Education and was a teacher for over thirty years. She loved the Lord and going to church and took pride in playing the piano. Margie always tried to see the good in people and would help them in any way she could. Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Clifton Fisher and John Fisher; her sister, Betty Brown; and her daughter-in-law, Cherie Coates. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Chad Coates (Candy), and Charles Coates; her sister, Mildred Hall; and her grandchildren: Simmie Coates, Chloe Coates, Clayton Coates, Max Lambright, and Hallie Lambright.
The family would like to say thank you to Louisiana Hospice, as well as, Gale Palm and Clayton Coates for the love they showed to Ms. Margie.
