Margaret Diane Scroggs

Funeral Services for Diane Scroggs will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, Louisiana with Bro. Jerry Wayne Hendrixson officiating and Bro. Shane Duke assisting. Interment will follow in Belah Cemetery in Trout, Louisiana under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, May 8, 2026 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Margaret Diane Stapleton Scroggs was born March 8, 1959, in Monroe, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Clayton Stapleton and Lottie Sharp Stapleton and passed from this life May 5, 2026, at St. Francis Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. 

Diane was a devoted Christian, mother, and nana. She was loyal, dependable, and " boot leather tough". Diane didn't miss much when it came to her children and grandchildren. They enjoyed going to hockey games, traveling, and according to Paisley, she enjoyed doing laundry and she even had her own laundry basket! Diane cherished every moment with her family, spoiling her grandchildren, and making memories that will last forever. She loved the Lord, reading the bible, and being able to tell people about it. To say her faith was strong is a understatement. Through her journey she enjoyed watching The Chosen & Drive Thru History movies to get thru the tough times. God was with her every step of the way.

Diane was preceded in death be her parents; her husband, David A Scroggs; and her sister, Jane Bennett. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, David Scroggs (Michelle); daughters, Chasity Hill (Jay), Hope Scroggs; brother, Steve Stapleton; Grandchildren, Mallory Dannehl, Alexis Buckalew, Triston Scroggs, Daylyn Scroggs, Payton Scroggs, and Carter Scroggs; great-grandchildren, Paisley Carr, Stella Buckalew, and Hudson Buckalew; and her furbaby, Snowy.

Pallbearers will include Triston Scroggs, Payton Scroggs, Austin Worley, Peanut Carr, Paul Sims, and Luther Ray Stapleton. Honorary Pallbearer is Mark Songnier.
