Levon Bonnie Stamper

Funeral services for Levon Stamper, known to everyone as Bonnie, will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from the sanctuary of the Olla Pentecostal Church with Bro. Jonathan Crist officiating. Donnie Taylor will deliver the eulogy. The Stamper Family will  receive visitors at the church on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Interment will follow the service, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, W. O. Stamper at the Olla Cemetery in Olla. Services have been entrusted to Riser and Son Funeral Home of Olla.

Bonnie Stamper was born on January 23, 1950, in Franklin Parish, LA to the union of her parents, J R Shelton and Addie Bell Bowlin and she passed from this life on July 7, 2023, at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria following an extended illness.

Bonnie was known for her exuberant personality and her physical beauty,  which was truly enhanced by her inner beauty and personality.  Her smile would light up a room.She was loved by all who knew her. She was an employee of the LaSalle Parish School System for thirty-two years serving as a school bus driver and also worked with H & R Block for nineteen years. She was truly the life of any party or family gathering.  She loved her family and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband W. O. Stamper, and four brothers: Robert Shelton, Leroy Shelton, Junior Shelton and Ronnie Shelton.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sherrie Bruce of Olla; her sister, Ruby Taylor of Olla; her grandchildren: Cody Sullivan (Blake) of Olla and Emily Moses (Dustin) of Olla; her great-grandchildren: Jace Moses, Rayleigh Craft, Dakoda Moses and Lainey Sullivan; and her precious friend, Selina Westbrook.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Dulaney, Cody Sullivan, Dustin Moses, Hodge Sullivan, Mac Moreau, Fruit Taylor, Derrick Taylor and Paul Shelton. Honorary pallbearers include Rodney Shelton, Kenneth Shelton, Jeremy Taylor, Brian Shelton, Gleen Shelton, Alan Shelton and Carlton Shelton.

In lieu of flowers and planned memorials may be made to the Olla Pentecostal Church, Olla, LA.
