Leslie Lawson Fallin Jr., 67, of Kelly, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026. He was born on October 3, 1958, in Jena, Louisiana.

Leslie was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, brother, and friend. He shared 47 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Johnnie. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, hard work, and unconditional love.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Johnnie Fallin; his two daughters, Michelle Jacobson (Chris) of Whitehouse, Texas, and Katie Hillestad (Trinity) of Grayson, Louisiana; and his four cherished grandchildren, McKenzie Jacobson, Hayden Jacobson, Evan Hillestad, and Jase Hillestad, who were the light of his life.

He is also survived by his brothers, Russell Fallin (Glenna) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Hope Fallin (Dara) of Jena, Louisiana; his sister-in-law, Mary Ann Thompson; his nieces and nephews, Chris Fallin, Rebecca Fallin Allen, William Fallin, Casey Norris, Crystal Benson, and Leighann Thompson; as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and countless dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Lawson Fallin Sr. and Minnie Lou Fallin, and his brother-in-law, Joe Thompson.

For more than 40 years, Leslie dedicated his career to the oil field, where his strong work ethic, dependability, and integrity earned the respect of those who worked alongside him. Outside of work, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid bass fisherman and hunter, with turkey hunting becoming one of his greatest passions in later years. He loved collecting firearms, reloading ammunition, restoring classic trucks, and drag racing.

More than anything, Leslie loved his family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and truly never met a stranger. His generous heart and kind spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He had a special nickname for nearly everyone he loved—including family, friends, and even the family pets—and his quick wit and sense of humor could brighten any room. He believed in taking care of those he loved and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.

Though his family is heartbroken by his passing, they find comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind and in knowing his legacy of love, kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family will live on for generations to come.

Pallbearers will be Mike Dunn, John Holladay, Tracey Humphries, Greg Crawford, Melton May, and Chris Strickland.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Andrews, Daylan Andrews, Kevin Andrews, Larry Dean Humphries, Bobby Pardue, William Fisher, Chuck Whatley, Darrin Hillestad, Dale McCartney, and Dewayne Scott.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation in Leslie's honor.
