Larry Dale Williamson

Funeral services for Larry Dale Williamson, age 73 of Columbia, will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Basco officiating. Interment will follow in the Columbia Hill Cemetery. The Williamson family will receive visitors on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Larry Dale Williamson was born on February 23, 1952, in Monroe, LA  to the union of his parents, Albert W. Williamson and Nora Lavenia Goodman Williamson. Sadly he left this world on the early morning of June 7, 2025,  at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. Larry loved his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons. He enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking his coffee, but above all, he loved to share his passion for Jesus Christ, whether he was in the grocery store or at the kitchen table with his family. He shared "The Good News" of Jesus Christ with everyone. From the words of Larry (Don't cry for me because I will be with my Lord and Savior.) He was deeply loved  and will be forever missed, until we meet again.

Larry was preceded in death  by his father, Albert (Dub) Williamson, the first Chief of Police of Baskin and a former pastor; and his mother, Nora L. Williamson of Baskin; his daughter: Tracy L. Williamson and two sisters: Faye Williamson and Donna Daniels of Baskin.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Williamson of Columbia; his sons: Greg Williamson of Winnsboro and Scott Williamson also of Winnsboro, Ken Williamson and wife, Becky of Grayson and Jamie Williamson of Columbia; step- daughters, Michelle Martin and husband, Wade Martin  of St. Livingston, LA and Terry Auvenshine and husband, Greg Auvenshine of Walker; step-son, Michael Langston of St. Livingston; his grandkids: Cameron Williamson, Kaden Williamson, McKenzie Williamson, Devon Williamson, J J Williamson, Aron Williamson, B B Williamson and many more; his sister, Dewana Franks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Williamson, Harris Ken Williamson, Cameron Williamson, Kaden Williamson, Devon Williamson and Billy Martin.
