Kathaleen Reid Lanham

Kathaleen “Susie” Lanham was born on May 6, 1946 in Winnfield, LA, to the union of Autry Reid and Clotiel Reid Hammond. She passed peacefully on May 2, 2024 at the age of 77.

Susie was a kind, loving mother and grandmother, sister and friend. She loved to cook, garden, loved flowers and in her younger years, she loved to play the piano. She worked for over 40 years as a towboat cook up and down the Mississippi and Ohio rivers. Susie was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Susan Johnson,; brother, Eugene Reid and baby sister, Virginia Reid. 

She is survived by her son, William Lanham, Jr.; daughters Tamra Lanham Taylor and Tonya Rowland (Nick); her sisters, Judy Smith (William) and Patsy Reid Hogg; and sister-in-law, Imogene Reid; grandchildren: Christopher Johnson (Baillie), Kacey Rucker, Christian Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Colten Rowland, Jacob Rowland, Devin Lanham and Julia Lanham; her great-grandchildren: Emily Rucker, Jay Rucker, and Chapal Gray Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers will be Christopher Johnson, Nick Rowland, Kevin Ehrhart, Colten Rowland, Jacob Rowland, and Jay Rucker.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Fellowship Cemetery, Hwy. 846, Columbia, LA with Bro. Artie Beebe of Amazing Grace Worship Center of West Monroe, LA. Services are under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia.

  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Fellowship Cemetery Fund in her memory.
