Joy Ann Evans

Funeral services for Joy Ann Pippins Evans will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA, with Bro. Johnathon Broussard officiating. Interment will follow the service at Buie Cemetery, Mangham, LA. The family will have a visitation prior to the service on Saturday, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Joy Ann was born October 23, 1939, in Winnsboro, LA to the union of her parents, William Wesley Pippins, Sr. and Hattie Mae Johnston Pippins, and she passed from this life November 5, 2026, at Haven Nursing Center, Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Leonard Evans, Sr.; sons: Lonnie Lynn Evans and Paul Daniel Evans and his wife, Jeanne; her twin sister, Lilliam Pippins Cox; as well as another 8 brothers and 7 sisters.

Joy Ann enjoyed the simple life, riding around in the car to see the sights and watching television. Her favorite shows were Little House on the Prairie and any soap opera that was on. She loved her dogs and always had one or two in the chair or bed with her. Joy Ann loved her family more than anything and loved every minute she spent with them. She will be missed tremendously by both family and friends. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Henry Leonard Evans, Jr., Shelton Ray Evans, Sr., and Betty Evans Malta; her grandchildren: Jan Heard, Christina Pardo, Christopher Evans, Aaron Evans, Shelton Evans, Jr., Justin Primm, Angel Eady (Justin), and Christian Evans; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Evans, Michael Malta, Chris Prince, and Sebastian Eady.
