Johnnie Mae Sikes Nugent

Funeral services for Johnnie Mae Sikes Nugent will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Beulah Baptist Church, Winnfield, LA. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. A visitation will be held at the church Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 5 PM until 9 PM.

Johnnie Mae Sikes Nugent was born March 28, 1958 in Winnfield, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Fred Sikes and Bonnie Farmer Chapin and passed from this life June 15, 2025 at Hardtner Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. Johnnie was loved and will be truly missed. She enjoyed traveling, sight-seeing, going to rummage sales, and flea markets. Johnnie loved looking at flowers, sitting on the porch, drinking cokes, and running the roads with Sierra and Jody. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She also enjoyed little dogs, which included the joys of sweeping and mopping. 

Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin Nugent; sister, Sandra Norell; brother, James 'PeeWee" Sikes; grandparents, Mark & Annie Bell Sikes; and a uncle, Jerry Sikes. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jamie Perot; sisters, Judy London (Mark), Jane Banes (Bo); brother, Karl Luman (Becky); as well as a host of nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers will include, Layne Sepulvado, Bobby Hubbard, Taylor Hubbard, James Banes Jr, Jamison Banes, and Dylann Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will include, Chris Furbee, Rusty Kendrick, and Dalton Provence.
