John Westley Sikes

John Westley Sikes, 76, of Holum, passed away on Monday October 5, 2026, at his home following a brief illness.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on October 17, 2026, at Pine Grove Apostolic Church, located at 2196 Hwy 506 E in Kelly, Louisiana, with Bro. Heath Barnhill officiating.

He was a decorated veteran, having recieved multiple medals while serving three tours in Vietnam.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to be on the water, fishing and camping were two of his favorite hobbies. He was also an avid football fan. He could always be found cheering on his beloved Saints and LSU teams. He also loved to read.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Willie Mae Sikes, two brothers Michael and Tommy Sikes, his son Warren "Luke" Sikes, and his grandson Johnathan Sikes.

He is survived by two brothers, Dennis and Lee Sikes and three sisters, Janice Sones (Jeff), Faye Fatheree, and Betty May. Also left to cherish his memory are his children, one son John (Bo) Sikes, and three daughters, Kathy Hite (Marcus), Charlotte Spratt (Chris), and Kimberly Sharp. He had 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
