John Robert Monroe, Jr.

John Robert Monroe, Jr. passed away May 9, 2022, at his home in Grayson, Louisiana. He was 77 years old. John Robert was born to the union of his parents, John Robert Monroe, Sr. and Lillian Crain Monroe, on February 23, 1945, in Columbia, LA. He was their only child. They preceded him in death. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard.

Mr. Monroe is survived by his cousins: Dena Hale, Belinda McLemore, Scott Perkins, Carol Durr, J. B. Thoman, and Ruth Albritton, their spouses and children; other extended family members and his many friends.

A graveside memorial service and inurnment will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson with Rev. Stephen McLaughlin officiating. Services are under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia.
