Funeral Services for Jimmy Douglas will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, Louisiana with interment following in Old Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time of service at 3:00.
Jimmy Lewis Douglas was born June 30, 1958 in Columbia, La to the union of his parents, James Lamar Douglas and Gloria Jean Fitzgerald Douglas and passed from this life unexpectedly but peacefully at his residence on June 4, 2025.
Jimmy was a "good ole boy" who loved his family and the time spent with them. He was a character to say the least. Jimmy liked being outside, pilfering around, talking to the neighbors, drinking coffee, or just keeping a check on his truck and yard. Jimmy was outgoing and would talk to anybody and everybody. He was an animal lover and would rescue cats around town as well as keeping up on Facebook news. Most importantly was the love and protection he gave his family and they will always cherish the memories they made.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother in law, W.L. Beavers. Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, James E Douglas (Mickie); sisters: Judith Beavers, Sally Ruth Scott (Richard), Barbara Jean Francis (Lester); nieces and nephews, Jessica McDougald (Craig). Monique Chevallier (Larry), Dustin Atnip, Martin Beavers (Denise), Susan King (Richie), Sharon Humphries (Tim), Paul Beavers (Kelli), Greg Scott (Denise), Brian Smith (Angie), Jason Smith (Sara), James Riley Douglas (Alison), and Paige Kaufman.
Pallbearers will include, Martin Beavers, Paul Beavers, Brian Smith, Greg Scott, Craig McDougald, Alex McDougald, Larry Chevallier, Kyler Chevallier, Dustin Atnip, and James Riley Douglas.
