Funeral services for Mrs. Jewell Whitaker Atwell age 88 of Georgetown will be held 11AM Monday September 8, 2008 from the Lincecum Baptist Church with Rev.Ovidiu Radulesca officiating. Interment will follow in the Lincecum Cemetery with services under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla, The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday from 9AM until 11AM. Jewell Whitaker Atwell was one of twelve children born to James Samuel Whitaker and Ida Isabelle Morrison Whitaker on June 18, 1920 at Nacadoches, Texas. She was a retired nurse and a lifelong member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Bazle M. Atwell, a daughter Joanie Smith, and by ten sisters and one brother. Survivors include-son Kenneth Atwell of Georgetown. Daughter-Laura Manzella and husband Richard of Pontchatula,La. One sister-Carmel Benson of Rusk, Texas. Four grand children Rick Atwell, Ray Atwell, Gary Manzella, and Barry Manzella. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Atwell, Richard Manzella, Rick Atwell, Ray Atwell, and Kenneth Hall.
