Jessie Floyd McDowell

Funeral services for Jesse Floyd McDowell, age 61 of Columbia will be held on Monday September 29, 2025 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home. at 10:00 AM Bro Marty Earnest will officiate the service. The McDowell Family will receive visitors on Sunday September 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Perot Family Cemetery , Columbia.

Jesse Floyd McDowell was born on January 2, 1964 at Monroe, LA to the union of his parents Robert James McDowell and Hazel Marie Perot McDowell. He passed from this life on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at his residence . He was preceded in death by  his parents, by his sister: Tina Meredith; maternal grandparents: Hazel and Dave Perot, his son: James MC Dowell.

Jessie  loved fishing, camping, hardwork,  talking and visiting with friends and  checking on people. He never met a stranger. He also loved to fry fish for his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife: Anita Barker McDowell,  his sons: Mark McDowell, Joshua McDowell, Kaleb McDowell and Daniel McDowell (Jessica); his sister:  Tonie Walker.

Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Perot, Jamie Perot, Brian Perot, Dalton Sikes, Benji Lee and Kenny Womack. Honorary pallbearers include Clifton Perot and Carl Barker.
