Jerry Humphreys Hall

Funeral services for Jerry Humphreys Hall will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Columbia Methodist Church, Columbia, Louisiana, with Brian Hall and Pastor Stephen Fife officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church, on Saturday, prior to the service from 10:30 AM until 1 PM. A private burial will be held at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, Louisiana.

Jerry was born January 18, 1933, in Columbia, Louisiana, to the union of her parents, Albert Emerson Humphreys and Minnie Estess Humphreys, and she passed away November 4, 2023, at her home in Columbia after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobbie Jack Hall; brother, Joe Kenneth Humphreys; sister, Sandra Humphreys Tryon; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Vivian Thompson.

For over 40 years Jerry was a public health nurse serving the community by taking care of our children with love and compassion. She was a member of Columbia Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, served on numerous boards, and worked tirelessly on upkeep of the grounds over the years. She had a love for gardening and raising flowers. She loved birds and always made sure there was plenty of birdseed for those that visited her yard. Jerry was well known for her pound cake which was loved and requested by family and friends alike. Jerry was a treasure to all but especially to her beloved family who she loved so dearly.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jack Brian Hall (Barbara); daughter, Kathy Hall Hopkins (David); grandchildren: Claire Hopkins Smith (Darren), Jesse Hall, Sarah Beth Hopkins Albritton (Matt), and Annie Hall Thompson (Andrew); great-grandchildren: Sophia and Luke Hall, Isabel and Ada Albritton, Sam Smith, Caroline and Beckett Thompson; as well as, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
