Janice Lucille Nichols

Graveside services for Janice Nichols will be held 12:00 PM, Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Harris Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will held from 11:00 until time of service at 12:00. 

Janice Lucille Allien Nichols was born November 20, 1948 in Jena, Louisiana to the union of her parents Shelby Lawson Allien and Ada Mae Herrin and passed from this life October 20, 2025 at Legacy Nursing Care and Rehabilitation. Janice loved her family and spoiling her nieces and nephews. No matter what they wanted or needed she was going to do it. She enjoyed running the roads, trying out new restaurants, and going to Flea Markets. She loved her pets and also took in any and all strays. 

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Nichols; and four brothers, Shelby Allien Jr., Raymond Allien, Chester Allien, and Danny Allien. Those left to cherish her memory are her two brothers, Dale Allien and Guy Allien (Jennie); three sisters, Patsy Jordan, Peggy Barron (David), Gladys Allien; as well as a host of other family and friends.
