James Frederick Sikes

James “PeeWee” Sikes, age 56, was born November 15, 1964 in Pineville, LA to the union of his parents, Fred Sikes and Eva Octavia Sanders Sikes. He passed from this life December 9, 2020 at Glenwood Medical Center. A memorial will be held Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Life Church in Columbia, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his “Granny”, Katie Mae Sanders, and his wife, Charlotte Sikes. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Cherish Peppers and husband, Jason of Olla, Kate Sikes and fiancé, Josh Finley of Grayson, and Amber Holton of Olla. His grandchildren: Griffin, Eli and Peyton Peppers, Cirsten and Drake McKeithen, Josie Sikes, Journey “JuJu” Finley, Tyler, Corey and Austin Holton, and 4 great-grandchildren. His sisters: Sandra, Judy (Mark), Johnnie (Calvin), and twin sister, Jane (Bo). A host of nieces, a nephew, and extended family and friends. PeeWee was a small engine mechanic and a jack of all trades. He could work on anything, build anything, and enjoyed bringing motorcycles back to life. He loved to ride motorcycles and enjoyed the freedom it gave. From the time he was very young he loved and lived to fish. The back of his truck usually kept a pole in it. He was most happy when he was just sitting by the lake. PeeWee grew up rough and rowdy and well... some things never change. He was tough and never scared to scuffle over those that he loved or the important things. He was a fighter all the way till he left this world. He will be greatly missed until we see him again. “Out of my distress I called on the Lord, the Lord answered and set me free.”-Psalm 118:5
