James Albert McDaniel

A visitation for James Albert McDaniel will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon. Friends are invited to come say their goodbyes at this time. A private graveside service will also be held.

James Albert McDaniel, age 89, of Columbia, Louisiana passed away on January 9, 2023.

James was born on March 2, 1933, in Clarks, Louisiana. He proudly served in the United States Army. After retiring from American Airlines in Oklahoma with 30 years of service, he returned to Columbia. James loved working in his yard, hunting and fishing.

James is survived by his daughter, Ronda McDaniel Raley and husband, Charles Raley of Crawford, Texas.

Grandson, James Rogers Sessions III and wife, Helena Sessions of Charlottesville, VA. Granddaughter, Sara Ann Sessions of Austin, Texas. Great-grandson, James William Sessions of Charlottesville, VA.

James was preceded in death by his brother, H. L. Hanchey and his sister, Lucy Hanchey Capbern.

A special thank you to the people at Ascend Hospice Care for their loving care and support during his

final days.
