Funeral services for James Glenn Johnston, age 61, of Columbia will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 21, 2026, from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Rod Shipp officiating. The Johnston Family will have visitation on Sunday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow in the Randall Cemetery at Aimwell, LA.

James  was born on March 2, 1965, at Columbia, LA, to the union of his parents, Glenn Roy Johnston and Nadie Bernice Poole Johnston. He passed from this life on June 14, 2026, at his residence. James worked in the logging woods and was known for his hard work ethic. He loved the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. One of his greatest joys in life was teaching his grandson, Lane everything he could about fishing in his brief life of seven years.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Lori Johnston; his daughter, Alecia Rucker (Jesse); three brothers: Chester Ford (Bobbie Sue), Daniel Johnston and Shawn Johnston; three grandchildren: Anna Carr, Lane Phillips and Samuel Rucker.

Pallbearers include Daniel Johnston, Shawn Johnston, Chester Ford, Bryan Perot, Jeffery Fird and Dusty Johnston.
