Inez Bailey

Funeral Services for Inez Bailey will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Columbia, La with interment following in Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00 until time of service at 2:00.

Inez Catherine May Bailey was born February 1, 1932 in Columbia, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Clyde Nathan May and Amanda Rogers May and passed from this life at The Oaks Nursing Home, holding her sons hand. She was a hard working, God fearing Christian that took pride in teaching her sons right from wrong and getting them to and from church. Inez had a heart of gold and enjoyed every minute spent with family. She loved holidays, especially Christmas and seeing the kids eyes light up. 

Inez was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Shannon Bailey; son, Carl Bailey; and three brothers, C.N. May Jr, Quinton May, and Billy May. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jerry Bailey; brother, Teddy May; sister, Jeanette Byrd(J.V.); grandchildren, Angela Rider, Shannon Bailey, Ryan McCann, and Melanie Volentine; great-grandchildren, Krew Bailey, Emry Jane Bailey, Kodie Rider, Tuff Rider; and a great-great-granddaughter, Vaeda Lipscomb.

Pallbearers will include Shannon Bailey, Ryan McCann, David Varnell, Ricky Hatten, Heath Rider, and Billy Byrd.

The Family wants to thank The Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation for the tender love and care they showed Inez for ten years.
