Graveside funeral services for Howard Scott Long, age 66 of Olla, LA will be held 10:00 AM Monday August 3, 2026 at the Olla Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Olla. The Family will receive visitors at the cemetery beginning at 9:45AM.

Howard Scott Long was born on July 16, 1960 at Baton Rouge, LA to the union of his parents Earl K Long and Mary Louise Cornwell Long. He passed from this life on July 31, 2026 at La Salle General Hospital in Jena following an extended illness.

Survivors include three daughters, Kimberly Ann Statham, (Jason), Joni Wyant (Thomas) and Penny Sue Mickle (Justin Mickle, SR), his sister, Theresa Roark (Mickey) and his brother Shannon Long (Chuck); his grandchildren, Michael Gage, Clayton Allen, Adrian Lee, Paisley Marie, Harper Lizabeth, Larissa Jade, and Justin Lee Mickle, JR. He also leaves behind a host on nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers include Judd Roark, Reece Roark, Kent Roark, Terry Thorn, Colby Taylor, Thomas Wyant and Adrian Wyant.
