Horace Franklin-Edwin Lafferty JR

Funeral services for Horace Franklin Edwin Lafferty JR will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA, with Bro. Jim McKeithen officiating and Mike McKenzie assisting, with interment following at Greers Cemetery in Rayville, LA. Visitation will be held at Riser Funeral Home, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Frank was born on February 11, 1928 in Holum, La., to the union of his parents, Horace Lafferty SR. and Eula Mae Watson Lafferty and passed from this life on November 21, 2022, at his home in Columbia. Frank was a loving man, who was devoted to God and his family. He was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. Frank was a minister, a family man, a hard worker, and a good friend to everyone. Frank never had a bad word to say about anything, and he lived a good life. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and he even enjoyed helping Mrs. Ann in her flower garden. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Helan Robinson; daughter, Charlotte Champion; step-daughter, Shannon Jinks; brother, Jessie Lafferty; and eight sisters, Louise Green, Abilee Roberts, Evia Mae Robinson, Gaynell Duncan, Leta-belle Lafferty, Thelma Nations, Annette Lafferty, and Janette Lafferty. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ann; sons: Andrew Lafferty (Cheryl), Daniel Lafferty (Barbara), John Dale Lafferty; daughters: Ashley Harrell(Jeremy), Whitney Roberts, Shirley Wall (Paul); two-brothers, Horace Lafferty, and Joe Lafferty; two-sisters, Mary Jones, and Sadie Fields; grandkids, great-grandkids, great-great-grandkids, nieces , nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

 Pallbearers include, Scott Lafferty, Todd Lafferty, John Wayne Duncan, Jeremy Harrell, Paul Wall, and Elvis Branch. Honorary Pallbearers are George Duncan, John Kaderka, John Robinson JR., Edwin Lafferty, Gavin Littleton, and Dawson Williams.

In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Riser Funeral Home, PO BOX 57, Columbia, LA, 71418, to help defray funeral expenses.
