Henry Glenn Hanchey

Graveside funeral services for Henry Glenn Hanchey, Sr. will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Old Bethel Cemetery, Clarks, LA with Pete Pittman and Brian Keith Bennett officiating. Services are under the direction of Riser Funeral Home.

Glenn was born in Columbia, LA on October 24, 1945, to the union of his parents, Henry Levi Hanchey and Wilma Whitehead Hanchey, and he passed from this life March 24, 2023, at his residence in St. Francisville, LA with his wife by his side. Glenn was a loving and caring man. He was also very giving as he would give anything he could to help someone out. Glenn graduated from St. Francisville High School, then went on to serve our country in the Army. Glenn was a cowboy and enjoyed every minute of being outside doing what he loved. He loved animals but was partial to horses. Glenn spent hours training horses, roping cattle, steer roping, and going to rodeos. He also especially loved his dog, Candie Boo, and they would go out together for hour long walks every day. Glenn was a hard worker and his dedication to his job was beyond words. Glenn was the ranch foreman for thirty-five years at the Rocking B Longhorns ranch at Wakefield Plantation.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Tash David Hanchey; a step-son, Brian Belt; and a half-sister, Betty Richardson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol Lamartiniere Hanchey, his children, grandchildren, sisters, and many friends.

Serving as the pallbearer is his grandson, Brian Keith Bennett.
